Like the Certified Bonded Warehouse – DAC, the warehouse is an additional operation that the Bonded Area can offer to its clients. The regime allows goods to be stored at import or export for up to three years, with the suspension of taxes. The regime also allows the goods to be industrialized or repaired by the company, upon prior authorization of the Federal Revenue Service.

Qualification:

Qualification is contingent upon:

• The delimitation of separate areas for storage of goods imported or to be exported;

• The development and maintenance of an automated control on the entry, movements, storage, and exit pertaining to each beneficiary.

The qualification will be awarded upon the bonded area administrator's request indicating the activities for which he or she requests authorization.

The Bonded Area System – Warehouse:

- Controls the inventory of goods under the customs warehousing regime for use in industrialization, maintenance, or repair operations;
- Records the transfer of goods for industrialization based on the RTM (Goods Transfer List) automated issue;
- Records the transfer of goods for maintenance services;
- Records the transfer of goods for exhibition, demonstration, and operational testing, pursuant to the Coana Cotec 2 – 2003 Act.
- Controls accidental damages and losses that occur in the bonded areas, as well as theft or robbery of goods through police records; and
- Issues the reports required by the Federal Revenue Service according to their Declaratory Act.
